Solution · Control mapping
07

Map a control once and reuse it across every framework.

One control library is crosswalked across 54 frameworks, with 754 indexed citations tracing each rule to the control that satisfies it.

The shape of the problem · 01

What this actually feels like.

  • 01The same control is mapped by hand to FFIEC, NIST, and ISO in three different spreadsheets.
  • 02A crosswalk bought from a consultant goes stale the first time a framework is revised.
  • 03Nobody can show the examiner the line from a rule to the control that satisfies it.
  • 04Coverage is self-attested, so a gap turns up during the exam instead of before it.
How Zovos handles it · 02

Five steps, one graph.

Every step writes back to the same controls, policies, and issues your team already owns. There is no second source of truth.

  1. 01
    Seed
Start from five control baselines: NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 Moderate, CIS Controls v8 IG1, the FFIEC IT Examination core set, the Cyber Hub, and the AI and Model Risk Hub. Control objectives are the reusable templates, and the catalogue holds what each business unit operates.
  2. 02
    Crosswalk
Map a control once and reuse it across every framework it crosswalks to. The corpus holds 54 frameworks, including FFIEC, NIST 800-53 and CSF 2.0, ISO 27001 and 42001, and the consumer regulations.
  3. 03
    Trace
The Coverage graph traces each framework to its citations, policies, and controls. 754 indexed citations link every obligation to its source paragraph, and a citation’s drawer lists the same ground in other frameworks through the control objectives mapped to both.
  4. 04
    Score
Obligation coverage scores each framework from the mapping rather than from self-attestation. The Gap report shows what is unmapped or thin, and the Gap Analysis agent proposes gaps for a person to confirm.
  5. 05
    Extend
Bring your own framework and crosswalk it to what you already have, using imported control content and SCF crosswalks in the Content library.
What changes · 03

What the product does instead.

Frameworks
54 frameworks in the corpus, including recent revisions such as NIST CSF 2.0 and IIA GIAS 2024.
Provenance
Every obligation links to its source paragraph through 754 indexed citations.
Mapping effort
A control is mapped once and reused across every framework it crosswalks to.
Coverage
Coverage is computed per framework from the mapping, so nobody self-attests it.
